Turn an automation off
Stops an automation sending. Needs sending: write, and is a write.
It holds every run where it is. A subscriber three days into a sequence stays on that step and resumes from it when the automation is turned on again. There is no window in which a paused automation still sends, and no drain to wait out.
That is the difference from archiving, which ends those runs because it is not coming back.
Pausing a paused automation succeeds and changes nothing. A draft or
an archived one is refused: neither is sending, so there is nothing to
pause.
Publishes no event.
